Flexible Televisions
Monday May 15, 2006
Earlier, I posted about organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). Last week, researchers affiliated with the Universite de Montreal announced that they developed a fabrication procedure which would work as a low-cost method of creating flexible surfaces of carbon nanotubes. These surfaces could be used to create computer screens that can be rolled up like a newspaper, televisions are as thin as posters, and even light-emitting clothing as the material could be incorporated into fabrics. The full article is available from the Universite de Montreal website.
