Film Review - NOVA: Einstein's Big Idea
Tuesday November 4, 2008
I am a fan of the PBS television series NOVA, which always does an excellent job of portraying science in a way that is accessible to the general public. A while back, my DVR (digital video recorder on my cable, for the less tech savvy among my readers - hello Mom) recorded a 2-hour episode, originally from 2005. This episode is based on the David Bodanis book E = mc2: A Biography of the World's Most Famous Equation and does an exceptional job of explaining the relationship between mass and energy which Einstein discovered in 1905 as a consequence of his theory of relativity. Check out my review of NOVA: Einstein's Big Idea, available on DVD.
