Large Hadron Collider's ATLAS Experiment Built in Under 6 Minutes

Tuesday September 9, 2008
Recently, the blogosphere and YouTube have both been swept by the Large Hadron Rap video, detailing the physics related to the Large Hadron Collider. While perhaps not as hip, a recent video by physics PhD student Tim Head has captured a bit of attention as well. The video, entitled ATLAS experiment assembly, condenses the entire 5-year construction of the LHC into a 5 minute, 46 second time-lapse video. This certainly gives some idea of the scope of the building process.

For more background on the video check out University of Manchester's press release.
