Surface Tension

Sunday January 28, 2007
Throughout nature, matter interacts with other matter. In cases when one of the materials involved is in liquid form and another is in gas form, then surface tension becomes an issue. Surface tension is the expression which describes the elastic-like film that the liquid-gas interface acts like in many cases.

About Physics provides some detailed information on how surface tension manifests in nature, as well as a series of fun tricks & experiments that can be performed using surface tension.
