Quantum Enigma

Tuesday August 15, 2006
In the book Quantum Enigma: Physics Encounters Consciousness, physics professors from the University of Calfornia Santa Cruz bring their popular science course for non-science majors to the page, illuminating one of the key philosophical questions of quantum mechanics:

What role does consciousness play in resolving a quantum observation?

For those who have never considered the question, or don't even understand why it would be asked, this book lays it all out for you. It covers the background needed to understand (or at least to vaguely comprehend) the mysterious results that quantum theory reveals.

I highly recommend Quantum Enigma to anyone who wants an introduction to quantum theory, or even people who have been introduced but want their memories refreshed a bit.
